I’ve been working on my Perl library for Formspring.me, and I’ve run into a pretty egregious issue. Apparently they aren’t following the OAuth spec correctly, and aren’t returning a oauth_callback_confirmed parameter. The problem for me lies in that the wonderful Perl OAuth library, Net::OAuth requires that the OAuth response return this parameter, and errors if it’s not present. I’ve emailed api@formspring.me about it, but they have yet to answer my email.

Sometimes I really hate going home. I’m on Christmas break, and I’ve spent the majority of my time just watching movies in my basement. I got really bored, so yesterday morning while I was watching “Juno” (love that movie), I wrote an Omegle script for irssi. I just made up a google code page for download, so have at it irssi users. Maybe I’ll get around to adding it to the big list of irssi scripts sometime soon.

Hey, totally writing my first post on my new blog. This is totally hosted and run by me. Working on writing my own CMS for it in Perl, but I’m pretty busy, so Wordpress will have to do til now.

I plan to post about things I’m working on, including projects and presentations; bits from my daily life; and maybe even an opinion piece or two. Probably mostly projects and such. Hopefully anyway.
